Delete Your Account
Last updated: March 25, 2026
Overview
Proscenium is a theatre review app developed by Daniel Tsivkovski. You have the right to request deletion of your Proscenium account and the personal data associated with it. This page explains the options available to you and what happens to your data when a deletion request is processed.
If you have any questions about account deletion or your data, contact us at prosceniumtheatrereviews@gmail.com.
How to Delete Your Account
There are two ways to request deletion of your Proscenium account:
Option 1 — Delete directly in the app (recommended):
- Open the Proscenium app on your device.
- Navigate to your Profile page.
- Tap the three dots icon in the top right.
- Tap the Edit Profile icon.
- Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm your request by entering your username in the text box.
Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted. This is the fastest way to remove your account and data.
Option 2 — Email us:
Send an email to prosceniumtheatrereviews@gmail.com with the subject line “Account Deletion Request”. Please include the email address associated with your Proscenium account so we can locate and verify your identity. We will process your request within approximately 14 days of confirmation.
Requesting Deletion of Specific Data
If you do not want to delete your entire account but would like specific types of data removed, you may email us at prosceniumtheatrereviews@gmail.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and describe which data you would like deleted.
Please note that we cannot guarantee deletion of all individual data types in isolation, as some data is structurally tied to your account and the core functionality of the app. In cases where a specific deletion request is not technically feasible without removing your account entirely, we will reply to let you know and ask whether you would prefer to proceed with a full account deletion instead.
What Data Is Deleted
When your account is deleted — whether via the app or by request — the following data associated with your account is permanently removed:
- Your account credentials (email address, password hash, or linked Google account)
- Your display name, username, and profile photo
- All reviews and ratings you have submitted
- Your bookmarks and watchlist
- Your friend connections and friend activity feed events
- Your in-app purchase entitlement record (e.g., supporter badge status)
Deletion is processed within approximately 14 days of your confirmed request. After this period, your personal data will no longer be stored in our systems.
What Data May Be Retained
In limited circumstances, some data may be retained beyond the 14-day deletion window:
- Legal obligations: Data we are required to retain under applicable law, regulation, or to resolve outstanding disputes.
- Anonymized or aggregated data: Data that has been stripped of all personally identifying information may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes. This data cannot be linked back to you.
In-App Purchases
Proscenium uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchase entitlements. If you delete your account and later reinstall the app or create a new account, your prior in-app purchases (such as the “Support the Project” supporter badge) can be restored through your Apple App Store or Google Play account — as long as you sign in with the same Apple or Google account used for the original purchase.
Deleting your Proscenium account does not cancel or refund any App Store or Google Play transactions. For refund requests, please contact Apple or Google directly through their respective support channels.
